| About this painting: 'Best Friends' is one in a group of pastel paintings I created when I returned from a trip to South America. I visited a wonderful sanctuary that had all types of parrots and toucans freely walking and climbing about on trees and gyms. Their flight wings were clipped so they could only flutter down and then would have to climb back up. A Green Wing Macaw and a Scarlet Macaw spent a lazy afternoon preening one another in a shady tree.
