| About this painting: Toucans are facinating birds, and are very different from Parrots. My favorite Toucan is the "Toco." These gentle birds are found througout Central America. Because a Toco is mainly black, I wanted to place him in an environment that would contrast with his stark coloring. Placing Toco in the midst of sunlit Bromeliads made him look as though he were stalking about in the morning sun looking for something ripe and juicy. |
